Send (); }); / ** / Educational video games are increasingly used in the curriculum of universities. According to analysts from THE Journal, an online magazine dedicated to new technologies in education, educational games may soon seriously change the nature and methodology of university teaching. It was noted, however, that less attention has been paid to date activity of students in the design of such games on their own educational needs. The authors suggest that educators should encourage students to be more active in the design of video games for their own learning needs, because such solutions can affect the shape and significantly improve the quality of university teaching. Research conducted in the United States confirmed that the involvement of students in the learning process can significantly increase their motivation to deepen their knowledge, contribute to the creation of new ideas and concepts, and improve the assimilation of educational content. Wideogry created with the participation of students are therefore important pedagogical, but not only. You can in fact indicate other benefits of this approach. Students create their own games for educational needs, create them as well for others. Thanks also become producers of information and knowledge (especially where creating games also form its substantive content), and not only their consumers. Research shows that the use of games in teaching brings improvements in both academic learning and teaching process. It enables the evaluation of the quality of the substantive content of the material from different perspectives and for different types of consumers. Thus giving students a unique experience, in turn, assess how through their own games can impart knowledge to others. This in turn promotes specialization of students in specific research areas. The growing importance of educational video games will have a significant impact not only on the development of students’ abilities to use modern communication technologies in the educational process, but also can contribute to the development of new educational resources. The process of preparing the technical side of the game needs work with sound, video material, photographs or virtual environment. From the merits may affect virtually any field of knowledge – eg. Literature, grammar, math, history, economics, entrepreneurship, or physics. Often the same game environment requires the use by students of knowledge in many areas, which contributes to a more comprehensive development of the creators of the game. Working together with the design of the game also increases self-esteem and confidence of its creators. Students who have achieved prepared an educational game for two purposes. First of acquired skills, which generally do not have their peers. Second, they realized the project. They have learned to plan their activities, needs analysis, have gained the knowledge necessary to implement, and probably funding, they developed the ability to work in a team and not on the basis of communication theory books, but practical experience. Therefore, they won the highly practical knowledge of project management, which can make use of in your professional life. Send (); }); / ** / Changing the way of education of pupils and students is one of the conditions for the development of creativity and innovation society – recognized participants of the debate “Strategy for development of Polish science”, held on 23 November at the conference “Through education – innovation. From kindergarten to the innovator” organized by the Foundation for Polish Emblem Now Poland Promotion. “Today there is no other road to success in a globalized world, than a place for social creativity, entrepreneurship, and what follows from these two things, namely innovation,” – said prof. Michal Kleiber, President of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Rector of the University of Warsaw prof. Catherine Chałasińska-Macukow explained that at the expense of creativity in the education process is injected into knowledge. According to the rector of the University of Warsaw to the intellectual laziness of young people also contributed to the abandonment of compulsory mathematics at the high school. Also prof. Kleiber remarked that the entire education system is not coherent and does not create creative thinking. “An example would be a system of assessment baccalaureate, which discourages it to think differently than standard. This part of our mentality has to be changed completely,” – he explained. Director of the Department of General Education Ministry, Agnieszka Kowalik assured, however, that new curricula are, among others, place greater emphasis on the understanding of phenomena, and not cram. Piotr Wachowiak School of Economics argued that the innovative attitudes should be encouraged as early as possible. However – noted – the science of entrepreneurship brought to another school subject, it does not make much sense, because “it is not entrepreneurship knowledge and skills.” Professor Chałasińska-Macukow also noted that over the last 20 years in higher education policy aims to raise the level of enrollment. “The market education has become a commercial market, which meant that created a lot of directions little expensive and unnecessary from the point of view of economic development,” – he explained the rector of Warsaw University. She added that if we want to think about economic development and innovation, we should put emphasis on the teaching of technical subjects. Professor Kleiber, he noted that in Poland the term “knowledge economy” is a term still somewhat embarrassing. “Some suspect that this is a simple lobbying for increased funding for research,” – said the president of the Academy of Sciences. The role of scientists in the world contacts with the business world also stressed the rector of Warsaw University. “This dialogue is never easy, because usually these two worlds different objectives. Finding a common language is not a simple” – said prof. Chałasińska-Macukow. In her view, to allow the combination of these two worlds are needed regulations and laws that would allow the business to look more gently into the world of science. “Capital, which can be spent on education would be venture capital, but not as high as at this time” – she explained. Typically, businesses are feeling the benefits of this type of investment for a dozen or so years, and well if they could just feel it already. According to Prof.. Kleiber, including just inability to perceive the importance of action, the results of which will be visible in the future it is one of the obstacles on the road to Polish innovation. “We minimize the significance of what is the key to the future. We need to find those areas of innovative activity that a hundred projects undertaken will provide success in three or five cases” – explained the president of the Academy of Sciences. According to him, the process of spreading the culture of innovation should start in the early stage of preschool and last a lifetime. “Therefore, they will boldly say that knowledge is a key factor in the development of the modern world, the greater the chances are that soon we will succeed,” – said the president of the Academy of Sciences. This group consists of gifted children in one direction, once called brilliant idiots, children with delayed by administrative negligence – the realization of programs, altering textbooks and taught by bad teachers. There are groups to which pupils and students get the badly functioning families, from children’s homes, with different handicaps mental, physical and social, but in the intellectual norm. There are groups composed mostly of a mixture of such children. And then what? And no nothing. We tame with each other. We getting to know. We have fun, move, dance, sing. Repeat, repeat, repeat – changing technology. We have time. We sing the song selected. We illustrate it. Cut into pieces and put on again. Students rewrite the text color kredami the boards. White I type their translations. Later they play hangman !!! Then they sing. Then they put the new text to a known melody. Grammar is not important. Logic or not. We’re having fun. At the correct time will come – or not … It’s nothing. We will remember the laughter, not tears! After years too. We draw on the floor labyrinths, snails, class – play in German or polsku- also irrelevant. German calisthenics, gymnastics, point out objects in the classroom and outside, we indicate the garment. We play bingo and linguistic memory, we recognize objects by touch. We go out into the snow and wydeptujemy beautiful German words in the snow: Liebe, Vergissmeinnicht, Mutter. Pupils give lessons themselves. We turn to each other politely. We go on trips. We take pictures: at eye level, with head raised, and the gables. We are photographing fragments of buildings, and then guessing what it is. From the pictures the students consist of presentations – partly described in German. Employees palm house, museum, archive ask about these special children, because they are polite and interested.
